class action?

Psychiatric drugs cause serious health and mental health illness's. I'm just wondering why no one has organized a class action law suit against the drug companies? Perhaps Doctors would be more careful in prescribing these dangerous drugs.

Its happening. Search the drug name plus class action , here is a few examples:

Class action lawsuits against Paxil have cost the manufacturers billions in patient compensation.

The complaint, which says Lilly earned $18 billion from 2004 to 2011 on sales of Cymbalta, argues that many consumers never would have taken the drug if they knew how hard it would be to stop.

“Disclosing the true risks of Cymbalta withdrawal in its marketing and risk disclosure materials would have been harmful to Lilly’s sales,” the lawsuit said.

I bet there are many on this site entitled to some cash from these lawsuits.

Once they get to Effexor, I'm in. Wyeth owes me a lifetime supply of it for free.

Plus I want back all the things I lost from the weeks of mania that resulted when they gave me 300mg.

Thank you Copy Cat for the info you posted. I have googled Invega and got in contact with a lawyer doing a class action against Invega. Not only have I been misdiagnosed and given the wrong medication,but I've also suffered terribly.
About time something is done about these dangerous drugs!
