I am not a big fan of the chemicals unless absolutely necessary and as a last resort. That's my preference though. But we are not all the same and each case is different.

If it gets to be an issue, chemicals are most likely the only thing that will work. Unless it's a PD or yourself. That's because PDs are too broad of a malformation of the organism, and medication only changes superficial things - like how much some brain parts receive stimuli. Medications are usually about changes in energy of a specific system, not in quality.

Avoiding specific acute stress, or general high stress - which varies from person to person - is the only thing you can do really besides medication.

All else, you need to figure it out by yourself - unlikely someone else will have all the information needed to make good guesses in your life. Even then - Jesus, will a psychologist be a know it all about everything?

I think psychotherapy works. At least for schizotypy.

One of the main symptons of schizotypy is a poor rapport with other.

Even if a therapist work as 'hooker' friend, or even a 'rent mother', nevertheless it works as a rapport.

It also work as a venting as you mentioned, but as a vent towards someone you care.

Venting also gives the opportunity to reflect avout your own views.
