If YOU are doing a positive program and only a positive program all of the time 24/7/365, YOU can change these negatives to positive....
We also saw the possibility of long term positive thinking and positive actions etc. 24/7/365 reduce serious mental illness and or totally getting rid of serious mental illness....
The beauty is that even most declared "psychotic" are receptive to their environment. A positive environment will help their overall perception of reality. It can greatly improve them in many ways. The thing that I cant get over is the amount of emotional abuse perpetrated by health care staff in mainstream facilities.
I can recall more than once nurses giving dirty looks to patients saying they heard voices. One woman went on to describe what she was hearing to the others and the nurse scolded her "and thats a clinical issue. You talk about clinical issues to your clinical therapist" People were punished any time they brought up voices, visions or anything of that sort. Staff were told to have this attitude toward patients 'either figure out a way to ignoring your voices or we will continue to bully you until you do' type deal. An unwritten rule in their culture. It never worked. It made everyone feel as though it was their fault they were this way. Voices don't go away, they get worse. They become darker and gain more control over a person's consciousness. Simply because psychiatrists and nurses are gaining control over a patient. Its that control, a learned behavior that the mind uses to control the patient. They aren't strengthening the patient, they are weakening the patient while only strengthening the voices that have control over them. But hey, if a patient cant heal, that means more treatment, and more medication right? Why break the cash cow? (Sarcasm on the last sentence)
