Risperidone Side Effects

I am currently taking 0.5mg of Risperidone and have been taking it for about 7 months. I was on a first dose of 1.5mg and have been weaned down to 0.5mg. I am currently being weaned off of it. I have little to no sex drive and I was wondering if anyone has experienced their sex drive returning after stopping the medication. I also have little emotion and low motivation. I am also wondering how long it will take for me to return back to normal after stopping. Any chances this is permanent? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

sux doesn't it..you will get your sex drive back, I know it might take a little while, low dose would still be killing it.....It will come back unless there is major problem with the gland responsible for the prolactin, can't remember which gland that is...you should be alright..lucky you to get tapered off, you'll be feeling like your sexy self in no time just depends maybe it will take a couple of weeks, mine always came back pretty quick and get over the cognitive and jjoyless loveless state fairly rapidly once getting off.
