Have you noticed most people here took/take antipsychotics?

I really noted a pattern here: most of you are complaining specifically about antipsychotics or deying the existance of illnesses that are treated by said medications.

It tells us something we already know: people who have more "serious" mental illnesses probably get treated very poorly by psychiatrists. Specially considered they deserve more attention and their medication presents way more harm.

I don't think all of you should be anti-psychiatry as a whole... Mental illness is real. The diagnose criteria is actually getting better when it comes to psychotic symptoms.

However, the treatment isn't... Due to one single thing: Antipsychotics.
They are absolutely terrible and destroy lives just as schizophrenia can. Honestly, i don't know which would be worse for me. Finding one that works and is worth the damage they do is tough work.

It's like chemotherapy: removes the cancer, if lucky, but devastates many other things in the body.

Psychiatry helps people, when it's competently done by caring individuals. Antipsychotics are dangerous and should be used carefully and closely monitored for their wide range of adverse effects.
