My best friend started going to a psychiatrist earlier this year, and got perscribed adderal for her ADD. Which made her insomniatic, so they gave her something to help her sleep, which makes her dizzy and sick a lot, so they gave her something for that. Then she developed back problems, so they gave her pain killers.
She came to spend a few nights at my house and I noticed how many perscriptions she had brought, and I started asking her what this was and what it was for. She answered with a whole bunch of "i dont'know"s. Eventually me and my brother ended up going through it and googling what was printed on the pill. We could fuigure out what most of them were and what they were for, but there were two small round white pills that didn't even have an inscription on them, which, if i'm not mistaken, is required by law. She said she didn't know what they were for, I though maybe they were a placebo but if they were her doctor would have told her what they were for.
Basically, every time she tells her docter about a problem she has, physical or mental, he throws more pills at her.
I'm becomming incresingly conscerned for her because she's been acting very out of sorts lately. I'm also conserned that her docter isn't even telling her what the drugs are for or what they're called...
if anyone has advice on what I could do to help her, it would be greatly appreciated.
