Can you please put my post back on the topic I created "NAMI Kieth Vidal and now false news reports", not on this "Schizophrenic Boy" thread.

The description "Schizophrenic Boy" is insulting to both the victim and to many people including myself.

Sorry you don't like the title, wasn't meant to degrade him, was just trying to relate the story to the forum.

Don't worry about it 1000 others did it too, but it would have been better with the word "alleged".

Alleged- Represented as existing or as being as described but not so proved; supposed.

News reporters should be required to say that when accusing people of mental illness just like they do with people accused of crimes.

Collectively known as defamation, libel and slander are civil wrongs that harm a reputation; decrease respect, regard, or confidence; or induce disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against an individual or entity. The injury to one's good name or reputation is affected through written or spoken words or visual images.

I can change the topic title livvyivvy if that is what you would like. I have been placing all related posts under your post as you were the first to report on the subject and we don't need multiple threads talking about the exact same thing.

I'd like to add that instead of the word "schizophrenic" a more person centered view would be "person who has been allegedly diagnosed with schizophrenia"

Don't worry about it, I have to stop being such a baby, but I do like the word accused better than diagnosed, but again don't worry about it.

How about we add in the word alleged/accused or something along those lines? I'm really sorry. Just cared about the story and wanted to share it. Hits close to home.

In my view schizophrenia is just another made up illness that was spoonfed to the public thanks to movies like Ron Howards "A Beautifull Mind", gimme a break, not even on 10 hits of acid would someone see Ed Harris walk up to them in a black suit and tell them to decode soviet messages in the newspaper. I just don't buy it and think its another scheme by psychiatry. As copy cat said there are illnesses but whats going on today is bs. Not like what the romans called "insanuom" in latin which simply meaned madness.

That 911 call about Keith Vidal I posted "won't take his meds" followed by the blame on the alleged Schizophrenia.

This forum has a thousand testimonials about psych meds sucking the life out of people followed by horror story nightmares of drug withdrawal by those people trying to get off them.

The NAMI drug pushing agenda lead to this kids death with there lies by omission and drug pushing advice.

This is a great example of trying to find a balance in our society. We are so quick to label people with an illness or disease of some type. We then push medication and drugs onto people like pieces of bubble gum or candy. Then someone like this young man who needed help and medication in order to live a normal life ends up dead. It makes me sad at times that these things happen when all he needed was some help. He just needed someone to reach out and protect and care for him. Then I see other people who have no real issues other than laziness who spend 5 years trying to convince the system that they are mentally unstable and need free help and money.
