I have always been big on herbal remedies but I never considered that they would actually be herbs out there strong enough to straighten up my mental and emotional clarity...

The day I first commented in this post I had done some other research bc I was experiencing anxiety in the morning when I woke up. I read that antipsychotics raise your cortisol levels (not good) and it makes your levels peak in the morning so you don't have too much trouble waking up, which in turn causes stress and anxiety.

So I looked up herbs to decrease cortisol levels and there were a few but I decided to try one called ASHWAGANDA...along with that I got some SAM-E and have been on it for a week and notice dramatic improvement in how I feel!!! The ASHWAGANDA also slowed down my racing heart beat!

I am attempting to get off all meds for I don't want any side affects.

Bc I had gained 30lbs in a month in a half I was fearful of gaining any more weight so I decided to get some help. I went to a weight loss clinic and (u kinda have to lie and not tell them what meds ur on or ur medical history-but I was willing to take the risk). They gave me some great advice about keeping a food diary and noting EVERYTHING you eat, and keeping track of your calories, fat, sodium, and carbohydrates. Within the first three days of doing this I was able to see where I was going wrong and how to adjust my diet in order to be healthier. They also prescribed me ADIPEX, which has been great for giving me that boost of energy I was missing and also suppresses your appetite so your not pigging out all day long. This has given me more motivation at the gym and a desire to eat right [=

Please take this information seriously bc I do believe some people are better advocates for these tips. Anyone with a desire can keep a food journal, also noting how many glasses of water you drink and your daily weight. But ADIPEX cannot be taken by everyone who suffers from bi polar, schizophrenia, and/or addiction. Be honest with yourself and don't get yourself in a bind where you have to be hospitalized for a psychotic episode-but this I know...I have not experienced an increase in psychotic symptoms. My mood is definitely better and I have that bit of "normal" feeling coming back to me.

I hope this post can be of some help to pull anyone who is going through the depths of hellacious medicinal side effects, especially those of INVEGA SUSTENNA.

Don't ever feel like your stuck...there's always a brighter future even if it means involving yourself with the church. With God there's always a way He doesn't want to see us miserable, look to God for help and guidance. Ask him to pull you out of the sand pit you feel engulfed by. At least that's what I did.

Good luck to you all I pray for anyone who suffers from mental illness that you will find peace within yourself and allow yourself to heal.

I am currently on this drug, also called paliperidone. I can definitely vouch for the anhedonia and lack of motivation. It's sad to hear that effects don't immediately go away as I am considering quitting this drug. It's horrible how you get forced to take this stuff and don't know how long the effects could potentially last. I hope that by now the effects have cleared away and you are feeling like you used to.

Just realised something. Apparently there is an interaction between invega and St. John's Wort. Apparently it decreases plasma levels and efficacy of invega. So maybe for want of getting rid of Invega one can take St. John's Worth for this purpose?
