There are alternatives to medications out there! My web search on alternatives more specific to non-psychotic bipolar disorder yielded only a business advertisement. However, I have seen online that some bipolar indidviduals have gotten results with a program of vitamins and diet.

Psychology and the mental health field should be considered alternative medicine itself since there are no facts to substantiate that mental illness even exist. You don't stick a needle into someone's arm and say he is bipolar. This stuff is based on someone's elses opinions on your behavior and words. That will never be concrete enough to have real progress.
