The historical record tells you everything you need to know about the loose cannon MD's: when slavery was legal shrinks held that any slave who desired or felt he/she deserved to be a free person was mentally ill. 'Just the opposite of what the Human Spirit demands of all God's Children!!

Now it is *bad* to be distressed/upset/sad (insert symptom here of distress) and ppl havint these problems are labeled mentally ill. We aall know what ppl think when they think mentally ill. Its a derogatory label. I don't think we should be called mentally ill just because we're experiencing crisis/problems. There are quite a few reasons this goes on, which I wont go into now.

But why should we be labeled for this? Why cant we just describe whats going on and *know* that we need to treat ppl experiencing distress with kindness and compassion. Not torture (ie. forced treatement, drugging , restraint, ect etc.)
