As long as YOU make and accept mental illness as being so complex that only supposed mental health professionals can administer treatment, then most of YOU are doomed....

I agree with this but I have never saw it as complex as I continue to post. There is nothing complex about someone else's opinions and judgements. I don't care how many people they can get to back them because pack of dogs are more dangerous than just one dog because they give each other confidence and empower one another. Simply put, once again until they can come with facts to substantiate there opinions they are more harmful than helpful. You need facts as a guide in order to progress.

-1013victim- You want facts to back up my opinions, well you are asking for the impossible because almost everything connected to the mental health industry is a crap shoot. Years of -OBSERVATIONS- of human beings with many different kinds of mental illness in everyday realistic settings led me to believe that supposed mental health professionals did more damage with their 15 minutes of contact once a month. Observations of everyday realistic situations with no hidden agenda and real trust between the person with mental illness and people that had empathy were worth it's weight in gold.

Like I have said before supposed mental health professionals and people with mental illness are making mental illness so complex that they are defeating any possabilities of real recovery, keep it -SIMPLE- and you might have a chance at real recovery....

Im not trying to argue with anyone. My whole point is its not complex at all. It is simple, how can we ever truly progress if all we have to go off of is opinions and judgements? It does not matter how long someone has been doing something. 50 years of opinions, no facts, is just what it is. 50 years of opinions over facts, is just what it is. Nothing is complex about mental illness. It is simply more harmful than helpful because its foundation is based on opinions and judgements which are not concrete enough. Where are the facts? What is concrete about that?

-1013 victim- you are correct in what you are saying, if you word your opinions a little differently you might be understood more easily, just saying.... Example, the mental health industry is not based on facts but on opinions of people with vested interest....etc. etc. etc.....

I think anyone that takes the time to read what I type can understand it well enough to get what I am saying. You might be a good mental health worker because you seem to enjoy trying to tell others what they need to do to better exist and thrive in your world

I feel the problem is, mental illness is looked at and studied wrong. People don't know boundaries, and companies often do not want to change to modern world, along with pharmacies simply wanting money.

If we looked at mental disorders, not as mental, not as behavioral (which is completely illogical), but as brain disorders - we would be astronomically ahead. However, if we view them as brain disorders this would get rid of a lot of disorders. Concerning the brain reaches a certain point before a person with psychosis, or autism behaves and responds the way they do, such as diabetes 1, it kicks in, you always had it, it simply started "working". We would probably only need inch/1inch and a half book for ALL the mental disorders and symptoms. Not a 300+ pg textbook.

Schizophrenia, Autism, Schizoaffective disorders with right research it can be advanced in.

ADHD, cyclothymia ("lower form of bipolar"), seasonal depression, possibly depression itself as a whole can be completely gotten rid of and it would only take people off useless drugs, but companies would make less money. I could go on a whole rant on these three disorders...

Anyways, some disorders are simply a way to make money, or make Johny's parents feel like not so much of bad parents, and little Johny's teachers as not so lazy because, boy Johny is "mentally disabled" when he has nothing in reality, so they drug him because he is too hyperactive for their scheduled lives as a 12 year old boy, or too "rebellious" as a 16 year old boy.
