Homeless man wins $1 million after Bellevue ordeal

Marion was offered but refused medication. But Bellevue Dr. Robert LaFargue wrote out an order authorizing him to be injected with Haldol, an antipsychotic, and Ativan, a tranquilizer, and stating that, from then on, Marion was to take another drug, Depakote, orally, on threat of injection.

In his testimony, Marion described being strapped down to a gurney, a nurse hovering over him with a needle, then injecting him, “like in ‘The Cuckoo’s Nest,’ ” referring to Ken Kesey’s novel about a psychiatric hospital from hell. Comparing himself to “Louima,” as in police brutality victim Abner Louima, Marion said, “They used a toilet plunger for him and a needle for me.”

How did you get a paralegal? Did you use a paralegal service or what? What documents did they get for you?

I just walked into a paralegal office and asked "can you help me get my medical records from a hospital?" Yes they can.

Search (your town goes here) + paralegal

When I came back for my appointment we looked up the hospital to get the address and phone numbers and then I signed some papers that they notarized.

Then she mailed / faxed those papers with there letterhead requesting a copy of my records to be sent to there office. She also called the record dept of that hospital. 2 weeks later my records came in the mail and they called me and I picked them up.

I did this cause the first question lawyers were asking me was "do you have your medical records?"

I know my civil rights were violated because that hearing to extend the psychiatric imprisonment was not held on time therefor I was deprived of liberty without due process of law.

42 USC § 1983 - Civil action for deprivation of rights.

Section 1983 provides:

Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action at law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress.

I never got the case to court, the lawyers I talked to didn't want to invest the time and effort to help me win this thing. I think they don't like the unscientific hearsay that psychiatry is all about.

I had 2 years to get it done and time ran out.
I survived psychiatry.

That's the sad thing about it, the lawyers are just as much part of the problem as the judge and the doctors that violate you. They all go off of things like precedent too much. We all know that it is unlikely that you win these cases but that does not mean that you don't contest this stuff. If you just roll over and show no resistance then they win. Any good lawyer is there to defend there client as best as possible, not to necessarily win.

Lawyers, Judges ... They don't know psychiatry is a scam, the industry spends billions promoting biological psychiatry with fraud and on top of that it has phony advocacy groups like the pharma front group NAMI : National Alliance on Mental Illness "lobbying" (lying to) elected officials.

For information on NAMI the phony advocacy group, see these links.

https://www.cchrint.org/issues/psycho-pharmaceutical-front-groups/nami/

It sucks, the general public doesn't have a clue about these fraudsters.
I survived psychiatry.

judges and lawyers know psychiatry is not based on facts which is breeding grounds for criminals. i finally got my 1013 and it only poses more questions. the official 1013 does not claim that i am threat, neither does it establish need.
