Splitting, or all-or-nothing-black and white thinking, has always been considered a borderline trait.
Splitting is a cognitive distortion and defense mechanism--a totally unconscious way BPs and NPs make sense of the world. It causes mood swings and contributes to arguments, criticism, and blame.
I find no reason to take a stand that this video is 100% perfect or 100% no good at all.
I agree gray areas are good.
I'm not sure why you're quoting stuff about borderline and NP. Are you implying that because I'm saying I don't think the video successfully makes the case that DSM is the atheist's moral code I must be 'splitting'?

Your splitting hairs and busting .... thats for sure, but yes I was thinking you were violating psychiatry's official thinking code including possible borderline infractions such as splitting.
We may have to put you on the new National Mental Health Code Offender List, It's very similar to the existing national sex offender list. A serious mental health offense exists by application of any diagnosis by any mental health practitioner, and anyone so diagnosed gets included in the registry and monitored for compliance with a psychiatric treatment regimen.
How do you like that ?
I survived psychiatry.
