a question?

Postby Devilock » Tue Jul 16, 2013 6:12 am

I was just thinking. Im in Australia and when we get put on a CTO or forcebly drugged, medicare pays for that, well for example, a script for respiridone is $5.80 for a box or them or one injection.

What do ppl do in the US? Do u have a form of medicare? I heard you don't, but what about ppl living on disability in US? They don't have insurance, how do they pay for their "chemical rape"?

Is it often the poorer ppl eg. ppl on disiblility that get targeted for CTOS there? It is here from what ive seen. Ive heard about better off ppl going to private hopsitals and that they are 'threatened' to get sent to a public hospital (which ive been to) where they force u on injections. It seems the private hospitals just coerce u in a diff way to take meds.

Has anyone read the book 'Dying for a cure'? its about an Australian woman who got 'bipolar' after being given anti depressants, she started cutting and suicide and that, she got cleared of all mental illness in the end from a psychiatrist, proved it was the anti depressants causing her problems.

I was threatened with the usual canned threat "injectable form and the state hospital".

I just have to wonder what a non survivor of psychiatry would think reading a post "I was threatened with injection in the psych hospital" they would think I'm nuts !

More people need to write books like "Dying for a cure : a memoir of antidepressants, misdiagnosis and madness" by Rebekah Beddoe

A powerful memoir of antidepressants, misdiagnosis and madness. There was that term again, depression, being tossed around. When had I received an official diagnosis, anyway? It had just been mentioned by my GP and now staff were picking it up and running with it. Things seemed to be getting blown out of proportion... http://books.google.com/books/about/Dyi ... tXXmXm9yQC

Thanks for telling me about the book.

$ 580 a month for chemical incarceration ? How long does this injection last ?
I survived psychiatry.
