I'm just implying it''s a very tough decision. My personal experience with psychiatry is very bad. I have posted my story and most of the people I've met there haven't had the greatest experiences either but I do know a few people feeling that it has helped them and CCHR doesn't give any alternatives.

I'm sorry, I got the wrong idea. CCHR is every bit as exploitative as psychiatry and the drug industry. Their alternative is Scientology: not an enticing prospect.

People just use us as a vector to advance whatever their agenda happens to be, whether it's prescription drugs, legal weed, New Age woo, herbal medicine, vitamins, transcendental meditation, social justice or whatever. Scientology is just more organized than most.

Check this out , In this 2006/07 New Years Eve event, David Miscavige outlines how Scientology intends to destroy psychiatry...

An alternative would be individual organisation. In my country there was a good one, but then they started organising manifestations and lots of CCHR-scientology members started joining them and most non-scientologists turned away.
They wanted to tackle issues like abuse in psychiatry. It's not okay that a law that determines if you can put people away for a long time is vague so you can in fact lock down everybody as long as a shrink writes that person is a danger.
A certain percentage of those claims is just unfounded but scientology says: no one should be at a hospital, even if they enter a shop and says God wants them to shoot down twenty people, then no one has the right to put them away.

In fact, scientology destroyed non-profit organisations because they wanted to turn them into scientology. They want people to think like them. At first they helped me: affirming that what happened to me was wrong and that psychiatrists are evil. Not: they could be evil, they're all evil and they're all the same. When you see them at manifestations, they hold boards with words like: psychiatrists are murderers" written on it.

Any alternative should exclude scientology. That's my opinion.

They are typical in my case. They did not offer me any help. I would be the one helping them.

The only thing I've seen that gets results is an identity politics campaign. It worked for black America in the Sixties, and for the LGBT from the Nineties until the present.

They are also against gay people. In a way that they don't say it's wrong but they do say they can cure it.

That's just another way of saying it's wrong. The CCHR is not our friend.

When I told them I liked men, they didn't say: you'll be excluded. They said: we know you've been hurt and that's why you got scared of women, but we can help it. We've seen so many people being gay turning into happily married men with women and children.
