what is your opinion of the CCHR?

i have been watching some of their videos on their website and they really get me motivated to fight back! Are they really a scientologist front group? How does the survivor movement feel towards them?

I think they kick ass making all those videos and web pages !

Well I got affiliated with an organisation long after I was established as a critic of psychiatry, called Citizens Commission for Human Rights, because they were then the only organisation and they still are the only organisation who had money and had some access to lawyers and were active in trying to free mental patients who were incarcerated in mental hospitals with whom there was nothing wrong, who had committed no crimes, who wanted to get out of the hospital. And that to me was a very worthwhile cause; it's still a very worthwhile cause. I no more believe in their religion or their beliefs than I believe in the beliefs of any other religion. I am an atheist, I don't believe in Christianity, in Judaism, in Islam, in Buddhism and I don't believe in Scientology. I have nothing to do with Scientology

The only ones that ever say "scientology" are people who are sticking up for psychiatry and are loosing the argument. Know it all's who saw see Abilify ads on T.V and really think this drug is for people with "low serotonin".

People who never got really sick or had years of there lives destroyed after trustingly taking there "meds" sold to them with lies or abused by psychiatric quack science "for there own good" behind a locked door.

All I know is the very dumbest people I ever come across online defending psychiatry are the ones who drop scientology bombs trying to win there argument .

10. Since you have no biologically based test for the drugs you are prescribing and there is no scientifically valid evidence that proves these drugs are effective or even safe, how can you claim that your science on this subject is superior?

A: I'm an "expert". How dare you question me !!! You are obviously anti-child, anti-progress and a scientologist !!!

But there not selling scientology so that doesn't make sense to me, "store front"

I guess the psychiatric industry's public relations people are getting the lie out, anti psychiatry is scientology because they can't find a damb thing on the CCHR site that not true and just debunk it !

I like their vids an attitude to psychiatry, but I find scientology really weird religion. When I m telling ppl about anti psych I don't mention cchr or scientology cause they just start saying oh anti psych, that's all scientology. I think theyre actually making anti psych look bad, making the public think its all a bunch of weirdos that founded anti psych and its not, I don't like scientology.
