No biological tests. What do they use, a crystal ball ?





I can't believe I fell for this scam, it almost killed me. I can't believe the government doesn't do more to stop these quacks considering the huge numbers of people who have been hurt by them.

Its actaully a sign or symptom of grandeur that the quacks make themselves out or are supported in thinking that what they practice is scientific and equal to medicine....there is no science they have grandeur delusions even suggesting that...think about it

Orthomolecular medicine has tests. In diagnostic terms OM is far more advanced than any shrink I've seen. And the cure works like a charm once you get into it.

And the cure is vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Until we get Star Trek medical tricorders that can diagnose mental disorders objectively, psychiatry is reliant upon the suffer accurately relating symptomology to the psychiatrist and the psychiatrist matching the symptoms to an illness. Further muddied by the fact that so long as healthcare is a for-profit enterprise, the psychiatrists have a vested interest in finding something wrong or they don't get paid. Until the money motive is removed from the equation, diagnosis will be highly suspect.

As with the latest illness of sexual addiction. Not I think coincidental most antidepressants destroy libido. So since we can now be sexually addicted, but a treatment already exists, what better way to ensure continued customers than inventing a new condition we have drugs to treat already. Never hear about new conditions that have no treatments, it's always something that can, for a price, be remedied.

Further obscuring the issue is that psychiatric illness are not illnesses, But labeling ambiguous symptoms and collections of ideas and behavoiurs as illness is a major cash cow, being in the billions.

Finding and addressing real underlying health problems contributing to the suffering, or admitting that people who are perfectly healthy can have unusual thoughts or behaviours and still be normal isnt nearly as profitable as waving a psychiatric wand to diagnos and then having a phamacutical customer for life.
