Psych drugs for pets? Oy. So what about the ones that can cause suicide? Any dogs commiting suicide yet? :) How would that manifest? Running out into traffic? They do that anyway, how we would know the difference?

Here’s a sad thought for you: The rat robot (ratbot?) in the photo above was created solely to bully real rats until they’re depressed. This might sound like the work of a sadistic behavioral scientist, but there’s actually a rather noble cause: The development of effective antidepressants for humans.

In almost every case, drugs are extensively tested on animals before they can be tested on humans. Millions of rats and mice are used every year in the US and EU, mostly because they are mammals (and thus share a similar physiology to humans), and because they’re easy to breed and dispose of. Developments are being made in the realm of non-animal, lab-on-a-chip testing, but it will be many years — if ever — that animal testing finally stops.

The rat has PTSD after this , not depression by the way.

I think a prime example of mental illness in animals is when to pets grow up together and one dies, the other will go through a short mouring

I am starting to become around to the fact that egocentrism determines what is acceptable or not which effects mental illness.I seek therapy because I was hurting and it revealed truths that allowed me to heal

how do they give rats schizophrenia...I've heard them talking about rat models of psychosis, just seems weird, how do they know a rat is psychotic????

are the rats that are bully'd into depression surely they know that means environmental problem with peoples mental illness...and what makes them think it isn;t just some other experience a rat would have with human attempts to bully them...

I had two mice at my place and they were so happy and play fighting on the kitchen floor...only one will eat from the traps and once I killed one the other rat is depressed and not going on the benches anymore...stay depressed little $#%^, its not eating as much.. or maybe just a good mouse, it squeeks sometimes that sounds like grief or just my human brain projecting a reality onto the situation like the quacks do to me, saying my hate for the industry is a symptom of schizophrenia, yeah eveen questioning the validity of the "medicine" is seen as a symptom needing more drugs to dumb me down because I challenge them ....... how would you replicate that with a rat to make someone schizophreenic, yeah the quacks treatment induces them seeing the situation as a manifestation of schizophrenia..so the quacks are triggering people into mental illness, i see it rather obviously with telepathic experience in my home life when I think of the establishment I get a psych attack to affirm that I am schizophrenic and actually go through waves of schizophrenia but its artificial and based on their intent to assure themselves that I am schizophrenic....how would they replicate that with a rat. they just need a quack animal.

sorry I diverged off my clarity and seeing people and artists on the radio as they talking to animals and primordial...totally lost my clarity with expanse of foundations to my life embracing higher dimensions of witnessing reality through getting with our god given requirements for human life...like animals are primordial.....industrial nations would need to be induced to make a schizophrenic rat, then we are still talking about environmnetal psychiatry not biological brain chemical imbalances...for them they would indusce brain chemical imbalance I guess to make a model of schizophrenia, so maybe I answered my own question, but is that really right...pretty dumb if they give it something that rushes dopamine and then= something that suppress's it it will correct the brain chemistry but what is to say that natureal states of psychoasis and dealingg with environmentla $#%^ that would depress most, makes like a spirit to walk in to help, thats where grandeur comes in...how could we replicate that in rats, the spiritual dimensions to psychosisi

sorry I trash talking, probably incoherant and not to the point, but I triedd to make it to the point..how embarassing, sorry about spelling.
