hyp·o·crite

1. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Most psychiatric fundamentalists online will write about treatments and doctors and trying and not giving up and hope. When of course the secret is that they have none of their own. They do believe that others should continue. They believe in the religion of psychiatry, but not for themselves…no, they don’t think they can be “saved”. They play the victim role, or the martyr role. They spend each day trying to prove that there is hope in psychiatry, while believing it will work for others even when it doesn’t work for them. They’re too broken, too “sick”. “It doesn’t work for me, and all these nasty “anti-psychiatry” people say it didn’t work for them, but YOU should keep trying, and I will keep trying too, because I have been convinced that it’s the appropriate course of action.”

I just love the writings on this site, what you see above is just a small sample, here > http://bipolarbabbling.wordpress.com/

What I am trying to figure out is why when I go on other mental sites and read a post where someone writes about all there nasty side effects or withdrawals its like AOK to say "keep at it and find the right meds", ( as if they are known to exist somehow ).

I am the good guy if I write that,

But if I give some useful information such as,

Did you know that all psychiatric drugs have the potential to cause withdrawal reactions, including the antidepressants, stimulants, tranquilizers, antipsychotic drugs and 'mood stabilizers' such lithium. When the individual’s condition grows markedly worse within days or weeks of stopping the psychiatric drug, this is almost always due to a withdrawal reaction. However, misinformed doctors and misled parents, teachers and patients think that this is evidence that the individual 'needs' the drug even more, when in fact he or she needs time to recover from withdrawal effects...

Why I am the bad guy for writing that ?
I survived psychiatry.

Many people are misinformed and in denial. They are hanging on to the thread that this medication will some how make everything all better vs learning to create the life they want to live. It's a nasty cycle that psychiatrists and the mental health community are responsible for making.
