How To Take Action Against Psychiatry

Postby Kenneth » Fri Mar 08, 2013 1:36 am

We've all been spending too much time complaining about psychiatry instead of doing something about it. I have come up with a list of things people can do to fight against psychiatry:

1. We can write letters to magazines, newspapers, organizations and websites that publish articles about psychiatry. For example, we can comment on blog posts and New York Times articles that are related to the subject of psychiatry, in order to let people know about the horrors of psychiatry.

2. We can write fiction books to show people what psychiatry does.

3. If you haven't already tried, find a lawyer and take legal action.

4. We can contact the media when one of us is institutionalized. Most likely, the newspapers will ignore us at first, but if enough people contact them, they'll start to take it seriously.

By the way, I do not endorse the CCHR or scientology. I believe scientology is as bad as psychiatry itself.

If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to share.

Please comment on this post to pledge that you will do something to combat psychiatry.

I completely agree with this, we need to do something about the horrors of what goes on in psychiatric wards. I have been on a few riots inside a hospital about this kind of thing and kicked the main unit door down as a protest. Am quite new here but it's great that people want to take action instead of just letting this happen to people who are victims of the mental health system.

A non-fiction book would be much more powerful I think.

I am a "copy cat" I spend time every day quoting websites and posting links and videos that expose the fraud and brutality of psychiatry in forums all over the internet.

The psych industry spends billions marketting there lies, we have the truth on our side.
This was one of the very first links I found,

The Latest Mania: Selling Bipolar Disorder, David Healy http://www.plosmedicine.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pmed.0030185

I found this forum after I googled the title to find it again and it was a topic here. Someone before me copy catted it here.

I am also a fan of http://www.ripoffreport.com if you write a ripoff report about a doctor or hospital it gets alot of views by people searching that doctor or hospital. You can tell your story and complaint then include links to anti psychiatry websites and videos also in that ripoff report to drive your point home and inform others.

Here is an easy place to copy cat links http://www.topix.com No registration for the forums, copy- paste- post. Spread the truth about psychiatry.

Your post titles show up on google searches, check it out by clicking here http://www.google.com/search?q=How+To+Take+Action+Against+Psychiatry

A hospital or doctor name on a topic title in this forum will show up in searches for them.

U.N. Rapporteur on Torture Calls for Ban on Forced Treatment
March 8, 2013

In a statement to a session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva on March 4, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment of Punishment called for a ban on forced psychiatric interventions including forced drugging, shock, psychosurgery, restraint and seclusion, and for repeal of laws that allow compulsory mental health treatment and deprivation of liberty based on disability, including when it is motivated by “protection of the person or others.”

This I plan to do - and I will update this forum each time I do so.

This is hard to do, but I'll think about it... It's not like I haven't done something like this before.

N/A for me - mostly due to the security issues concerning my employment.

Good idea - will do.

I pledge to do everything I can. I'm finally pissed off enough because of hearing from brainwashed souls lately. You'd swear people would wake up at some point. Bipolar softened me up a good bit - personally.

Youtube videos.

Be clever with the titles, use mental health kewords people research. Personaly I hate "child bipolar" "juvenile bipolar" after reading how it was exploited for dollars.

Learn about that http://www.google.com/search?q=Joe+biderman+risperdal+lawsuit

But if your good at youtube vidoes its a good tool to take action.
