An interesting vid. Just watched it.
He makes a good point that psychiatrists run off a belief system that there is a chemical imbalance with schizophrenia, bi-polar, depression etc but there are no tests to prove that this is fact.

Yep. That doesn't mean that all those terms like "bipolar" and others are necessarily invalid. They may be valid descriptions of someone's behavior, but they should not be called "scientific" diagnosis as there is NO medical test to back them up. Another good point he makes in the vid is that as soon as something is defined by medical test, psychiatrist is no longer needed and the person would go to other MD specialist

Not too sure on his belief system but he talks about outside influence as opposed to the problem being solely in your brain. What is and is not a mental illness!? Does it even exist!? Prove it!
Whatever the case if there were tests that could be taken to prove an imbalance then misdiagnosis would seldom take place and appropriate doses could be prescribed according to the severity of the imbalance. Why doesn't this happen? Why don't we all just go to a psychic who will prescribe our meds through lotto.
