if your psychiatrist is like that you should ask for a refferal to someone else.

homeopaths treat mental distress. they'll spend hours and hour's talking to you trying to get to the root of the problem.
many people are skeptical about the science behind homeopathy, but compared with the total lack of scientific evidence behind psychiatry, there both on a par.
one thing though, homeopathy is far less dangerous for your health than psychiatry and many people swear by it.

Whatever she chooses to teach him. If he learns, then stick with him. If he doesn't, find another, better, doctor.
And always be open to the fact that just because they don't tell you all the $#%^ life's thrown at them, doesn't mean they haven't lived through it.

My doc had bulimia years ago. She didn't tell me at first. But after several years of me being really anorectic she was able to talk with me. I thank her for being transparent with me. Her understanding of the disorder was very helpful for me getting healthier.

from my experience, once your labeled schizophrenic a psychiatrists wont even talk things through with you as you are regarded as having no insight.
if your on a forced treatment order you cannot swap docs, your just stuck in hell with an asshole making value judgements about you and forcefully drugging you to death.

Guest,
I am sorry that you have had negative experiences with p doc's. I live in the Us and from what I understand things may be a little different compared to where you live.
I didn't know this was a thread about schizophrenia. I have other mental illnesses which I struggle from time to time with. I do have some people in my family who have SZ. I treat them just as I would anyone else. They appear to be just fine and going about their lives at a normal pace.
