If nobody had extreme opinions, nothing would ever change. I'm not trying to knock the people who disagree with me. You have a right to your opinion too. Respect mine and I respect yours. I'm just saying that nothing will change my mind. For years I have tried to figure out my standpoint on conventional medicine and drugs. I used to think they were great, then I had doubts and I went back and forth. Now I am certain of the way I feel. People also tell me that I shouldn't believe I can become a singing star with all the competition. If I changed my mind on that, I would have no chance of making it. The only reason the stars today are out there is because they never changed their mind. So, yes it is sometimes a good thing to be extreme. Not always, but not never.

I apologize if I over reacted a bit. You are entitled to your opinion and you don't have to change it.
It just helps if it is an informed opinion, which it cannot be if you don't look at the other side. I saw some "I don't need to know" and "I don't care" there which is just like someone saying you can't sing before they even listen to you.
If they listen to your singing they can have an opinion, even if you disagree with it, but if they don't bother to listen at all and try to have an opinion, you'd find that a bit too extreme and baseless, wouldn't you? That's kind of like prejudging, isn't it.
Having a solid and strong opinion is fine, it just helps if you see the other side and then form the opinion. That's all I was trying to say.

I'm sorry. I must have given you the wrong impression when I said "I don't care". I didn't mean that I never looked at the other side. I meant that I have seen the other side many times before, and I have even agreed with the other side for a while. It's just that through thinking and reasoning, I have discovered how I really feel and now I am certain my mind won't change again. I also didin't mean to give the impression that "I don't need to read anything". I certainly do read articles and I actually read some of the one linked here. I just meant that I didn't need to read it to know that it was right in my opinion...not that I didn't need to read it, if that makes sense...
I totally agree with you about prejudging and I apologize for giving you the impression that I was doing so! I always try not to prejudge. I am republican and I know I am going to vote for the republican candidate, but I always listen to both campaigns before I vote.

My personal opinion is that they do make me feel more suicidal. I'm stopping the use of my antipsychotics. I don't care what the doctor says, they turn me into a sucidal zombie.
It's only been 2 days, so I guess I won't see any withdrawal yet. I'm getting upset stomachs and headaches, but I'm sure it'll pass.
