To answer your questions Nyorai please read the forum rules which can be found in my signature. I will answer them more in depth here as well. :)

Rather than suggest, which can be easily misrepresented as diagnosing, why not give feedback from your own life experience. For example if someone were wondering whether or not they had bipolar disorder I could say to them, "I can relate a lot to what you are describing." or "Yes, I experience that as well." We have many different forums here for most of the potential diagnoses so finding someone who can relate to what the OP describes can typically be found rather easily.

Nyorai wrote:or provide personal feedback or experiences with medication

yes, though if those experiences come from an anti-psych perspective they need to be made in the anti-psych forum.

Nyorai wrote: most importantly (personally, anyways), is if we are allowed to provide cited research (whose author(s) allow distribution)

yes so long as it is not considered advertising. The best way to ensure that you are not advertising is to share your own thoughts and opinions about the research you are citing.

Each forum has a bit of a different feel. hang around on different forums and you will get to know the differences which can help you understand what would be acceptable in that forum.

I believe that maybe all the "staff" at crazyboards is actually just one demented individual with multiple screen names.

Best to just forget about that site ASAP. Its all cool here don't worry.

:D We're all kinda like housemates here, with all the forums here being different rooms with a slightly different decor. We knock politely on each other's doors, and chill and relax in the room we feel most comfortable in.

Wishing you a warm welcome to the forum.

The site is called Crazyboards. The name says it all. I don't identify with it at all. Whoever pretends to maintain a site with the goal of helping people with mental health issues and has the brilliant idea of using the word "crazy" right within the name of the site has zero credibility. Nuff said.
