Treatment For Eating Disorder

My sister has been having a eating disorder for about a year now. She used to be quite a healthy girl until the age 0f 16, but after that she somehow got it into her head that she was too fat and started trying to lose weight, and now it has gone too far. Can someone suggest a good rehab which has a good treatment program for eating disorders in Toronto? Please reply soon.

Sorry to hear your sister is ill with anorexia.

I'm not from Toronto but the ones I know of are in hospitals. Since your sister is still a teenager she could become a patient at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. It's the best hospital for youth in the region and the staff are excellent. Her GP will likely need to give her a referral.

There's an organization called NEDIC that helps link people in Canada with local treatment options for their eating disorder. www.nedic.ca

She might also be able to get in contact with the Canadian Mental Health Association to see what they offer, but I'm not sure if they treat minors.

Hi, sorry to hear about your sister. But these things van be cured with the right treatment. I'm from Toronto. They provide good treatment for eating disorders and drug addiction.
