Pain and Sickness when eating

Postby PlayingPaperDolls » Mon Dec 12, 2011 1:26 pm

Hi,

I've been diagnosed with Anoreixa B/P sub-type but in all honesty it's been some times since I b/p-ed - well done me! :)

BUT, recently the Anorexia side of things has been worsening, and I'm struggling to eat much more than either a meal OR a couple snacks.

Yesterday I decided to have a eta a lot day, but in the evening when I went to bed, I was in agony. And I was feeling so sick that when I was sick my body realised that actually there was nothing there but bile, when previously I felt like I was still full of food ready to be sick.

But over nothing I get full and it often hurts. A cup of coffee can do it even. I was just wondering if other people get these pains?

It's annoying because as much as I want to lose weight, christmas is soon and if I mentally prepare myself I can let myself not diet for 4-5 days or so before I HAVE to, and I've been mentally preparing but I'm a bit upset/anxious that my body won't let me?!

Thanks.

Hi hon

I think if you are in pain it would be a good idea to talk to your dr about this and ask them what they think is going on to make sure it is not a physical problem that needs addressing. What other help are you getting for your ED? It sounds like you have good insight and are on the right track with things. I do hope you get this sorted out and that you manage to do more work on your ED. Keep posting and let us know how you are.

HI thanks.

I'm getting no help. I have managed to learn how to contorl bingeing and Bulimia over the course of many years but that help finished when I was 18 and recovered for a short while. Now though, because it has come about that my ED is infact secondary to another mental illness, I have been discharged from the Maudsley with no help or support and am awaiting funding and referrals for the primary condition.

That means I am left to my own devices. This pain and sickness thing at night has happenned again since, and I can barely eat anything, but chocolate because it is dense in calories I suppose so doesn't require a large quantity to be consumed. However obviously the chocolate thing can't go on for much longer because I'm anxious about the weight gain and fat, but yeah. I don't know what to do about it really.

I suppose just keep going and hope I don't slide too mcuh between now and recovery otherwise I'lll just be a mess too much for any service in the NHS and will be left to rot most likely .

Sorry, bad day. Hate food. Ugh, wish breatharianism was real. x

I hope you get some help via the NHS - there are good services out there and good staff. Push for what you need and PM me if I can help.
