i'm naturally very thin...i'm actually physically disabled. i had to take pills to gain weight. i feel more comfortable being thin actually...i wish someone knew what was wrong with me. i was born like this. trust me, you don't want to be as thin as me. it's awful...i had to go to the army because i was so thin and disabled...i am completely sick.

So I don't look like ...ahem, 'her' (the mother), who abused me worse than anyone. When I was thin, I looked like a younger version of myself. Now that I'm heavy again, I look just like her. And I see her in the mirror now, too. Makes me angry at myself for losing the control that I had when at my lowest. I am as determined as I am desperate, to throw my success at beating anorexia to the wolves, and fast my way back into a wardrobe I haven't seen in 3 years.

I literally can't even imagine how it would feel to think this way. I don't mean that as in insult. But it's like you're speaking a foreign language, seriously.

I've learned a lot by reading the comments on here. A new one was

to make all those who hurt me pay

That is one of the reasons for suicide, and since anorexia is a form of slow suicide, that makes
a lot of sense.

I guess wanting control and to be admired (perfectionism) are two of the biggest reasons I see on this thread.

I look at pictures of myself when I was 18 or 20 yrs old and very thin because I played so many sports, and must say I don't think it looked good on me. I prefer to be above average weight.
So no, I don't want to be thin. :D

People love people who are thin.
I'm obese and still can't find any sudden attraction to a fat person.
Sound shallow. Well it is. But that's why we want to be thin, we want to be loved.

I mean, for me it's basically this. Right now I'm seriously overweight, and I wouldn't be attracted to me now. I don't expect anyone else to be interested right now either.

For a variety of reasons, in Western culture, people tend to be attracted to small, thin girls. We also tend to care more about physical appearance when it comes to females than we do with males. Maybe it's not fair, but it is what it is, and it's unlikely to change in our lifetimes! I don't think people can control what they find sexually arousing, which is why trying to "cure" gay people doesn't work. People can't help what they're turned on by. I don't want to put anyone in the position of feeling like they should be attracted to me out of pity or something.

When you love someone, you want them to give them the best of everything. I want to give my best me. For me, that means being thin and beautiful. I don't feel resentful about it. It's just what I expect of myself.

I think my main one is that I hate the idea of growing up. It terrifies me. If I can stay in a childlike body, if I can 'undo' puberty, if I can be visibly sick so no one will force responsibilities on me... then everything feels like it'll be okay. Staying a child until it inevitably kills me doesn't seem like too bad a deal.

I wish I could find something to live and grow up for. I wish those things weren't so scary. I'm 18 this month. I didn't even think I'd live this long.

Hi and sorry you are struggling. I wanted to say it sounds like you are very self aware, though, and that is a good thing. Do you have any support in 3D?
