I'm angry

Postby KenWalker » Tue May 03, 2011 6:21 pm

I've been on an anger spree recently. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I've kept in my anger for almost 24 years of my life. I've never had the reactionary muscles to be angry during the moment when it occurs. I usually try to diffuse things in a nice #######4 manner like my parents taught me. this created a very passive-aggressive personality in me that bottles up and ends up doing something crazy - like poisoning myself with alcohol.

I'm enjoying the anger I've been able to dish out on the spot. I never hold anything in. What changed is Lamictal's been helping me express myself better every day.

Te best thing is I feel great about it! I'm sort of on a power trip about it. I will have to learn to control my anger into small doses though and express it more properly. I apologize to the people in the past week and perhaps the coming weeks I've let out my wrath on as more than necessary.

Hi,

Thanks for the post... I used to be angry at just about everything, but now I don't actually recall being angry once in the past few years. I prefer to try to understand things. plus, if something is persistently bothering you, then just cut it out of your life so that it never has the chance to make you angry in the first place.

That's very zen of you, Kevin. Advice well received. I don't believe that not being angry is healthy though, and that not all situations understood leads to pacification. Cutting off something before it has a chance to bother you is brilliant though.

haha - well - I did read a bit about Zen and I admit that it influenced my life (Look Here; #9 is my favourite). However, the actual lack of anger in my life stems from therapy. I can admit, however, that anger could be good in some cases!

I’ve been looking for more ways how to cope my stress problem related to my childhood traumas which causes me to become uncomfortable in all ways. I used to got angry most of the time and I am having a hard time in managing it. What I want is to get rid the negative emotions that I have every time I look back to my past that cause me to got angry. I want to have a better feeling every time I have in contact with that memory. When I tried the Yuen method with Paul, I was so amazed of the changes I have in my body energetically. This energy healing imparts a big help in my life as all my negative issues were all deleted. By identifying the root causes of my stress and eliminating it, I felt that all my negative issues were removed from my system. Having received healing, I am very happy to find improvement in such a short time. Now, it is a magic to feel so strong again.

I think anger can drive us to do a lot of good in our life. Like if we use that anger as indignation to fuel us and get ahead in life. Use it for good rather than self-destruction and all. That's one positive side of anger, in my opinion.

I don't feel good about my anger when I express. I feel like I'm experiencing a loss of control rather than gaining a sense of power. It would be nice if I could be more calculating with my anger, but it's just a big sloppy mess. I never have the upperhand either, so if i were to lash out I would just be digging myself a deeper hole.

I remember being on Lamictal and liking it. I had to stop taking it once we increased my dosage though, it didn't go so well with some of my other ailments.

Anger sometimes allows us to vent our frustrations and get things out in the open... I think some people are better at getting it out whilst others are brooders and they tend to hold stuff in because they don't like to make a fuss.

Of course people and how they handle and deal with anger is a bit like volcanoes... Some are chronically active, others lay dormant for a while then have a big blow off and others just seem to be able to hold it in for ages and ages and never show signs of blowing, those ones are very hard to see when it comes to people though...
The bright light at the end of a dark tunnel could be an oncoming train, but it could also be the way out of the darkness...
