i blackout and change personality when angry

I am a very easy going person but when i get angry i blackout and cause harm to myself and others . The blackouts are not for long periods of time 20 minutes being the longest i've had , but i am told by my family and friends that a seem to become another person completly , everything changes from my personality to the way i talk . During my blackouts i have badly injured my best friend even though she is the only person who trys to help me . She is not the only person that has ended up injuried because of my anger problems though . I know i need help but how can i look for it when i dont even know what the problem is , i have been to docters and a therapist but they werent sure what was wrong . The only way i have learned to control the problem is by avoiding conflict all together but even that is not 100% effective as i still have blackouts and harm myself for no reason that i'm aware of and am sometimes even set of by the slightist of things like when one of my friends was carrying on with me calling me silly names and stuff like that i blackedout and when i came to all my friends were holding me back , i was told that i had been smacking his head off of the pavement , i ran home and refussed to leave the house for several days after this . All i am asking for is a little help in understanding whats wrong and if there is anyway to control it ???

i get the same thing, when im angry, i vaugely remember what i do, this one time, my brother and sister started making fun of me for some reason and i got mad. They told me I went in the kitchen and started smashing plates. I remember some of it, and the parts i remember I dont recall hearing the plates smash, but I remember the action.
