Does anyone here know personally about this disorder or have a child who suffers from it. I have a friend who has a son age 9 who has this and in her area there isn't a lot of help for this Disorder. I would like to try and find her some help so that she can start working on different techniques to help her son deal with this issue. Do you have any suggestions that have worked for you? Or know of someone who tried a certain technique with great success?

Check out the
Mayo Clinic article.
Behavioral and cognitive interventions along with anger management techniques are needed. Children with IED need to discover healthy ways to deflect the anger so that it can be controlled.
