Seriously though, such behaviour should be shown no mercy until it's extinguished. Not capital punishment, but a long term in a very nasty prison.

It is a tragedy that this cultural backwardsness still persists in the 21st century.

Revenge took place. It is uncertain if the right men were targeted. One horrific deed after another unending. And to think some of these nations who have this tribal mindset want, or worse yet, have nuclear weapons.

There are no words that can explain the horror of such an incident. Truly my prayer is that God will bring justice for this girl and that these people will be punished.

May our society learn that people like this cannot be rationally dealt with. People like this are cruel, evil and without excuse for such deeds. We cannot appease these people who like terrorists are just are out to kill and murder.

We must stand up against them. We must not cower. We must stand up for the defenseless - like this girl. Oh Lord, please intervene. Please stop the mindless, insane, uncivil, evil deeds against those with no power and no advocate.

The sad thing is that these people aren't inherently evil. This is a taught behaviour. I just can't understand how it has managed to spread.

I think that it's partly because mad religious zealots became empowered by the western countries in the 80's and could influence the populations in these countries. This behaviour was there before, but probably not to the same extent.
