Anger Tics

Postby alexkns » Mon Apr 11, 2016 7:44 pm

Hello everybody, I've recently developed some type of anger tics. They occur when I'm feeling angry and they are part voluntary part involuntary. I'll explain. They are fast movements, usually they occur in arms, hands and neck. I can control them but I feel very unpleasant when I don't do them and before of them I feel something like a tickling sensation trough the body. I know it may not be anything serious but they are very recent and I am curious of what they could represent. Also, yes, I have anger problems, I am not a violent kind of person but I get mad pretty fast and react pretty bad (usually shouting) when I get angry, even for stupid things. Lately I've been able to control my anger manifestations but I wonder if these tics are somehow a way I unconsciously need to let it out or something.

I think what's happening here is your stress hormones (Adrenaline, Cortisol, Norepinephrine) are on the rise, causing increased activity in your CNS, which may exacerbate a preexisting tic disorder.
