Help! my girlfriend beat the crap out of me

Postby Renjiii » Mon May 25, 2015 2:55 pm

I do not know if I posted this at the right section but here it goes.

I've been seeing her for about 2 months, we had our first fight, words were exchanged and eventually she pushed me i pushed her back then we started physically fighting. We were both throwing punches at each other till she got hold of me. (she is bigger than me neither of us work out) she was dragging me around the room whilst punching me til she threw me on the sofa grabbed me by the throat til i couldnt breathe! after a few seconds she let me go and stormed out of the house. I was shocked about what happened, is this sort of thing common? is it expected for her to be stronger than me cuz she's bigger?

I don't know what to do

We have a section for domestic-abuse/ And that is NOT just men hitting women. It can be women hittingmen, or same gender abuse. And it can cover other kinds of abuse too.

Relative strength is going to vary between couples. Men in general are stronger than women in general. But each individual is different. Also, shock can kick in. Which means it's much harder / impossible to fight back. I think it's irrelevant how common it is. It's wrong every single time.

Has she contacted you since? Do you feel safe now?
