How much is a peg?

Hi Greatexpectations,
It is large peg i.e., 60 ml per peg. I mean to ask if I have habit of taking 120ml daily then it is definitely harmful for my body. I want suggestion to reduce this quantity.

I thinl it's called a nightcap, but quite a large one. Alcoholism isn't so much about how much or how often we drink, it is what happens when we drink. The Alcoholics Anonymous book talks about an allergy of the body which, when alcohol is taken sets off the phenomenon of craving, and we just can't stop until we drop or run out of booze. We do also have plateau drinkers who drink all day staying topped up all the time. Usually alcoholics of our type have lots of other problems ranging from how we feel about ourselves to causing a fair amount of pain and anguish amongst the people around us. Someone who has a large nightcap and then goes to bed, not harming others, and has no other symptoms may well be regarded as a heavy drinker and might be damaging their health, but they fall somewhere short of being an alcoholic.
The first thing to try is to have only one peg instead of two. If you can do that easily, that probably anwers your question.
God bless
Mike.

If you have a physical addiction, that's alcoholism or alcohol addiction. If you just have an unhealthy pattern of misusing it, it's just alcohol abuse.
