Extreme exhaustion during withdrawal?

Postby oddyknocky » Mon Sep 29, 2014 6:28 pm

Hi, I'm new here so I hope I'm not asking a stupid question. I've been battling alcoholism for about 8 years now and I finally thought I was through drinking. Starting on a Tuesday, I started drinking again and went on a bender until Saturday morning. I slept until 9 pm on Saturday, woke up for a few hours, then didn't get up until 10:30 am on Sunday. My boyfriend picked me up at noon because he knew I had relapsed and wanted to provide support. I fell asleep at his house at 2 pm and didn't wake up until 7:30 am this (Monday) morning because he has to drop be off at home before his work. I went back to sleep as soon as I got home and just now woke up at about 1:15pm. I feel exhausted and broken. I've gone through withdrawals before that had culminated after 2 years of daily, heavy drinking, but I didn't think a single bender could do this much damage. I've missed quite a few days of college and missed some assignments. I have a test and presentation due tomorrow and I feel like death. I'm worried I've ruined my entire semester with my stupid decision. Is it normal to feel this way after a bender? And is there anything I can do to help myself recover? I almost want to drink some just to get rid of this feeling.
