Detox Again

Hi all,

Please wish me good luck and success this time. Last time I detoxed was 18 months ago but it only lasted 4 months.

Really want to be clean forever now - have been drinking for 30+ years!

Started Friday - by no means easy but over now. Please please give it a try with medical help. I feel my old self and can eat again - not that easy when drink has taken over. Next stage is to stay off that horrible stuff - any ideas would be gratefully received.

I'm sure you already know about meetings and such, but try to plan things into your day that involve exercise, interaction with others, and plenty of rest. A list of things to do instead of getting involved with your old using buddies or calling up your dealer is handy to pull out in case the urge to use gets strong too.

I wish you luck, I think detox is always a smart idea if you've relapsed and can't get out of it on your own.
