I don't remember exactly how much I spent on alcohol a year, or even a month, but it was surprisingly not a fortune. I didn't consume excessive amounts of alcohol on a daily basis, I just severely misused it when I did drink. I would get random urges to go on binges or use alcohol is inappropriate situations which would affect my life in a negative way.

I would probably spend about $40 on alcohol whenever I shopped for it though.
