I am new

Hello, I am new....Feel right at home here....Would like to make some friends.....I never meet people except for where I work....I see a physchiatrist.......I fear going outside, I fear the world....I sit inside and read comic books and whatch movies mostly on my free time or whatever to pass time in my house, if I even feel like leaving my room to even be in the presence of my roomates. Well hope to meet some people.

Well, did you check it out? Did it relate to you? Think of Avoidant Personality Disorder as the posh way of describing the more general term of 'agoraphobia'. Agoraphobia is just described as a fear of public places/people. It doesn't really explain why the person is agoraphobic in the first place though. With AvPD, you have alot more background info as to why you are the way you are.
