Can't wear bras anymore..?

Postby GravityU » Tue Dec 06, 2016 5:38 pm

Hello,

So for about 2 months now I haven't been wearing a bra because the last times I tried, I got huge panic attack on now my subconscious associate panic attack with wearing bras.
Problem is, I can't always wear baggy t-shirt so it wouldn't show my nipples...
Anyone have that problem too?

What do you think it was about wearing a bra that triggered you? Was it uncomfortable?

Sometimes I can't wait to get mine off, but like you, I wouldn't want my nipples showing in public. Is there a more comfortable and relaxed style you could try. You can get soft ones without underwiring.

Maybe you're wearing the wrong size? That's really common.

Maybe you could set yourself the goal of getting a more comfortable bra and break yourself in gradually? Getting one would be a good place to start and then build up the amount of time.

However, you need to see a therapist for anxiety treatment.

How about a lightly padded sports bra?

Or just adding some sort of nipple covers? I never tried those so I am not sure how well they would work.

Maybe wearing any type of sports bra, or less stressful bra while at home could help lead up to wearing your regular style again.

Well somewhat normal in a sense. Let me tell you why: when something causes a panic attack usually the person wants to stay far away from the trigger forever. But maybe one day you'll want to wear a non-baggy shirt and you'll probably really wish you could wear a bra. Here's some tips I can think of:

-A bigger size bra, one that doesn't hug you too much
-A really soft comfortable bra
-A camisole or tank top under your shirts
-Or maybe a sports bra?
Much love to you
