query; can anyone tell me the name of the following disorder

I have the inability to see images when I close my eye's (in my head). I know there is such a disorder as I was told about it a few years back but i can't recall the name. I have looked on the net but I can't find anything specific as it is a hard concept to articulate. If you know anything please let me know
