We cannot diagnose you here, it is against forum rules. Few here are trained professionals and not even one of those could make helpful suggestions from such a short description. All I've got are more questions, I'm afraid.

Have you talked to a psych at all about ADHD or OCD? Are you on meds currently that might affect your focus or memory?

ADHD
ASD
AvPD
Bipolar disorder
Dementia
Marijuana addiction
Nutritional problems
OCD
PTSD
Schizophrenia
Sleep disorders

Maladaptive daydreaming disorder is also a possibility, but it's not a recognised disorder and a professional would be unlikely to diagnose it. [If they had even heard of it.]

What you have said is SO vague it could fit into any of the above issues [though I admit some are stretching it further than others!] That's why I asked for more details. I hope these suggestions are useful. I don't think I can be of any more help.

I suggest talking to your GP or psych if the issues are having an impact on your day-to-day life.

I have all the symptoms you've mentioned...

You probably have ADD/ADHD... aka Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.
You can have ADD with or without the Hyperactive component.

I've suffered with ADD my entire life too... and it's not the end of the world.
I wish I'd figured it out sooner... I would probably be a lot doing better.

Always been a daydreamer... have memory problems... have trouble paying attention... my grades suffered in school... disorganization... procrastination... people accuse you of making careless mistakes...don't follow directions...lose stuff... easily distracted... racing thoughts...

Do people accuse you of being lazy... of not trying... tell you it's mind over matter... snap out of it... you're irresponsible... you don't show any effort ... the list goes on and on...

This is a lifelong disorder and the sooner you get treatment the better you'll fare.
I'm an adult and recently realized I have ADD and did quite a bit of research once I realized it and wished I'd realized it sooner. So PLEASE... learn about the disorder AND yourself. The sooner you do, the better. Information means EMPOWERMENT.

I shouldn't have said that you have ADD/ADHD, because I don't know for sure.
Daydreaming is a symptom of this disorder, but there are many more.

Do you tend to lose things easily? Such as keys? Are you often forgetful?
Are you messy? And when you start to clean your room, you have trouble finishing because you keep going from one spot to another? Do you have trouble staying organized?
Are you always racing? Do you tend to talk a lot?
Do you have trouble completing tasks, such as homework?

These are some of the symptoms of ADD/ADHD, but only a Dr. or specialist can give a proper diagnosis,You can also go to self-help quizzes on different sites... type in some symptoms, and see what comes up. There are a lot of sights that have self-help quizzes, so you might be able to figure it out that way. I hope you do... GOOD LUCK
