How do you get along with people you live with? Or do you?

Hi, I’m just brainstorming here. Feel free to chime in or not. I’ve found limiting the time I spend with others helpful. I also try to focus on our commonalities rather than our differences. I use anger & irritability management skills when I feel anger & irritability. Meditation. Practicing self-care in general. Going gray rock. Lowering expectations. Distress tolerance. Acceptance.

How about you?

I am addicted to religious groups like 12 steps to come out of my porn addiction. I am afraid that this groups will make me more neurotic and sick than I am. Like I was unable to believe in a higher power but the group calls and daily Dsr meetings and sponsorship and all is brainwashing me to a level. That i started to acknowledge things like hp which seems so non existent for me ...

Why do I enjoy hurting my mother? (and others)

I don't know what part of the forum to post this in. Moderators, if you know, please move this to the appropriate area.

Anyway, this is my welcome to the boards.

I am an 18 year old male diagnosed with persistent depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I take zoloft, lithium, abilify, and klonopin to stabilize myself. Anyway, on to the pressing matter at hand.

For the past decade, I've been in ...

I'm at a loss

I have neurological problems and I know it. Hospitals have refused to assess me. I managed to get a neurology appointment for today but it was canceled due to COVID. So instead, the neurologist is going to do a phone consult with me tomorrow. How is she going to assess my faculties over a phone? Makes no sense. I'm getting worse and worse and I'm concerned for my well-being, but no one considers this urgent. ...

Boyfriend suffers from anxiety and depression

Hello. I hope that no one will take offense that I post here not about myself but about my boyfriend. I apologize in advance if this post is long. I feel very helpless and confused, and unsure of what is the best course of action.

A bit of context about myself:

I am in my early forties, separated since a year with two children (5 and 7). I had an 18 year long relationship with ...

Reflecting back peoples emotions / no filter

Sorry if this is the wrong part of the forum. I have realized recently that I reflect back peoples emotions towards me, if they are feeling angry I will start feeling angry etc.

My personality can feel highjacked at times. I have been diagnosed with A.D.D but could this be due to something else?

I really struggle to take back control of my emotions again, especially if the person is angry/abusive.

I work in a hospital and I deal with COVID rule-out/positive patients administratively... a lot of employees have declined to show up to work by calling out or they refuse to work the COVID floor... I'm there without fear because its my job. I have my fears but at the same time, sadly, I don't have anyone waiting for me at home. If I met my demise, it would only be just me. It hurts ...

First Post - not sure where it should go ....

Hello to all.

I'll try to summarise my feelings as quickly as possible, so as not to bore people - but guess first off I am looking for help in knowing which 'forum' (slot, category, label) I should post to and fit in.

I'm 67 - from the age of 16 I have always had a 'goal' of some sort - went to colleges for different qualifications;; always wanting to learn; discovered computers in 1973 ...

What's Wrong with Me

I'm terrified to talk about my issues and have kept them a secret for a long time. I've never told anyone, and I've been experiencing this since my memories began (about 5). I'm 36 now. Things got better for a little while, but now all of a sudden it's getting worse.

I kept it all a secret because I'm afraid that I'll be rejected and locked away in a room with white walls. I don't ...

So as you all know by now, COVID19, also known as the Corona virus, is hitting the entire planet pretty hard right now. I personally have to keep working because I am an essential employee, according to not only my country, but my state. Some other people aren't as lucky, and have either been laid off because of it, or are forced to go without pay because of it.

It's important that you practice good ...
