Vaginal Atrophy & Mrnopause

Postby GreenEyes1950 » Tue Jan 07, 2020 8:16 pm

I see there have not been much conversation about this issue. I have read many blogs from men and their biggest complaint is their wife or girlfriend not wanting sex. Yes women also start to loose their libido for many reasons.

I am 69 and had a hysterectomy in my late 40's. When I turned about 55 I started to have vaginal pain and burning with intercourse. I tried several things my Dr. recommended. I still had intercourse but used a ton of lub and I told hubby it still hurt a bit. He was very understanding and never mad me feel bad. Being a retired nurse I asked my obgyn to please let me try vaginal estrogen at least twice a week and in between apply it around the outer and a bit inner part of the vagina.

Sorry so long. I then researched more and learned about masturbation, I do not know why but I never masturbated but found that the more you masturbate it increases the blood flow and may help with the atrophy as well as libido. I also purchase a long lasting silicone lubricant because silicone lubs last longer but, it breaks down sex toys if you use them.

All I can say is please do not give up on something that can be so satisfying and rewarding for you and your mate. Sex is not dirty and can be very enjoyable. Thank You for reading If it helps I am happy to have shared my experience.

Awesome! I hope I'm still sexually active when I'm 69.
