Now, that is a very good question. I would imagine it may be necessary to make certain all is well.
It may be rare, but sometimes too what happens after hysterectomy - women can develop a prolapsed - I think that is the term used for a colon that becomes flattened as a woman ages - who've had a hysterectomy, causing severe consitipation. I know a woman who suffersed with this problem and had some type operation to correct the deformity. From what I hear, she is doing fine - just very elderly. She is quite a bit older than you.
At any rate - I think it would be wise for you to maintain your routine gyn visits.
