Is it normal to feel so guilty?

Postby kepp81 » Wed Jul 17, 2019 12:13 am

I tell the gist of my story here:

I feel so guilty about everything. That she left, that I've filed for custody, everything. I feel like I should've done more, or done better before everything got to this point. Yet, I know that I tried to reach out to her and talk to her. I've tried recently to reach out to her to talk. Is it normal to feel so guilty?

For some people, yes it is. For others they get great joy out of creating angst.

Although it might hurt more to be the former I would rather be that than the latter.

I think it's normal to feel so guilty. You are a good person and want the best out of this bad situation. You want the best for everyone involved and you just can't make everyone happy. So, yes, it does leave one feeling like "what else can I do to make this better?" when you are already doing everything you can do. Hugs, if wanted.
