Can it be permanent?

Postby Rien » Fri Apr 22, 2011 10:17 pm

I'm wondering if this disorder can cause permanent pain? I know someone who exhibits the symptoms, but she has had this issue for years. No doctor can seem to find the problem.

Hi, Rien! Has she seen a doctor who specializes in this Disorder? We couldn't give you any specific medical info here, but you can show her this site if she needs some support. Hopefully someone with more experience with this illness will post.

My pain comes at least once a week for 10 hours and sometimes 2-3 times a week. Started in 2009 and no improvement since. I see a Psychiatrist Monthly since 2011 and do Cognitive therapy. Stress, worry and anxiety are my triggers, I have done as best I can to eliminate as much as possible including ending some friendships that were not helpful or understanding. I am in Canada and have been on disability since April 2011 when calling into work due to pain was just to stressful. I miss my job and the service I did in the lab. I worked at a collection site taking blood etc. It was hard to leave after 11 years. I am not giving up on this going away one day. No meds touch the pain even the strongest on the market for cancer patients. This is a very lonely disorder, I am thankful my family and few close friends have my back. Hugs to all those out there suffering.
