I hope i don't offend anyone, but....

Let me first say that I at least consider myself a male with GID, you can see my other post if you want more info. So i guess i'm saying i feel justified in saying this.

I'm really just curious if anyone else shares this opinion. To me, I don't feel like a woman in a mans body. I feel like a man with a very specific form of retardation. I know that probably offends a few people, and most assuredly makes a few think i'm not what i say I am, but that's the way I feel

Anyone else share this opinion?

Orthodoxies build up around conditions, and people can find those orthodoxies very comforting, as it gives them a stable point of reference upon which to orient their sense of identity. Unfortunately science is too often steered by orthodoxy and reductionist platitudes, which colours our conceptions of conditions.

In other words, if that's the way you feel, then that's the way you feel. My 'condition' (not GID) means I have to put up with an inordinate number of misconceptions and trash science, so I fully understand the 'but I don't fit the mould' thing.
