I stutter and whenever I'm half-asleep around people who are talking (even a TV turned on) I notice that I can understand the words being said a fraction of a second before I actually hear them, as if I were able to somehow know in advance what I'm going to hear a fraction of a second from now! It only happens when I'm on the verge of falling asleep.
Does anyone else notice that? I wonder if it may be related to the same brain anomaly that makes DAF devices work for some people.
