Do males use Viagra or other ED meds just for the purpose of masturbating?

I ask because I do use Viagra for the sole purpose of masturbating and when I did some internet research on this topic, I could not find anything of real substance. I found posts from wives who found out that there husbands were using Viagra, but were not having sex with them. They seemed to be accusing there husbands of being unfaithful ... "If he's not having sex with me and he is using Viagra then the only possible conclusion is that he is having an affair" ... When I read these posts I thought to myself, poor guys, what if they are older and need something to help them "stand at attention" for a good wanking (note: I'm not married or with anyone). I take anti depression medications which at my age (52) pretty much guarantees the end of a nice firm erection.

Does anyone know of any studies or research on this subject?

I can't be the only man who takes Viagra (or something similar) just to make masturbation possible and more satisfying (it also seems to raise libido a bit).

Looking for published research or anything to help with this topic.

You are totally wrong! Of course men can use viagra for masturbation!

As men get older, and especially in our heavily medicated society, ED is more common than not in that population. It is perfectly fine to use viagra for masturbation. However, be very careful that you are not using it too often, as it has side effects that can be dangerous. Check with your doctor on how often is a safe dosage. If you need something more often than your doctor will allow, you can try using a herbal remedy in between the viagra doses. Many herbal remedies are much safer, have fewer side effects, and can enhance any viagra that may still be in your system. As always, check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure the herbal remedy is safe to take for you this way.

You may also want to check out Cialis, as it is, in some instances, safer than viagra. For example, people with heart conditions can take cialis, but not viagra.

Hello all, I am 68 years old, and I guess have enjoyed masturbation since I was a kid. I am married, but because of my wife's health, we have not indulged in sex for over 20 years, we love each other completely.
Recently, after a result of radiotherapy and hormone treatment for Prostate cancer, I find it really hard (no pun intended haha) to maintain an erection. I have been able to orgasm, albeit a dry one, but a bit unsatisfactory as I am almost only semi erect.
I have tried viagra, (after consultation with my GP) and it is transformed the masturbation experience for me.
I think that a lot of it is psychological, but the fact that I am back to my familiar state, is a great turn on, and even my climax has resulted in (slight) ejaculation.
I registered on here just to contribute to this thread, in case anybody is curious as to whether viagra can be used in these circumstances.

Hi I know this is an old blog. My husband has had a problem since we were married 36 years ago. Wish there was Viagra then Anyway it was ok because I had a female problem to deal with and am now able to enjoy being intimacy again. I encourage my husband to take Viagra to masturbate and bought his a man's flashlight that vibrates for his needs. Please people I know many feel it is sinfully or what have you.
