One of the most evocative, warm, and nostalgic songs of all time. Love it.

Here's one by Buckethead:

I can't post just one soundtrack of my life. Too much has happened over the years to really encapsulate it in a single song. So, here are a few that represent what I've been through to some degree or another:

The early years:

RAJAN - Broken Home

Add a lot of alcohol into the mix and you basically have my upbringing, but with a lot of violence in the very early years.

Teen years and upwards:

Skid Row - 18 And Life (Official Music Video)

Ongoing:

Five Finger Death Punch - Jekyll and Hyde (Official Audio)

Five Finger Death Punch - "Trouble" (Lyric Video)

At one point of my life all I owned was a purple Puma holdall with all my cassette tapes inside.

I'd go from house to house (sofa surfing) with my all I owned. Treasuring it as if it was gold bullion.

I had nowhere to play my cassette tapes though so I just used to look at them and keep sorting through them. I sold everything but not them. That's what drug addiction does kids.

The soundtrack from this era would be The Wall by Pink Floyd and in particular a song called Mother.

During the mid 90s and towards the new millennium I worked the night shift in a warehouse.

The warehouse manager used to say that only drug addicts and thieves worked nights. He wasn't wrong in my case.

My good friend at the time was the fattest heroin addict I've ever known and I have fond memories of this time.

This song was in the hit parade at some point during this time and when I hear it I can picture my friend leaning on his yard brush, laughing whilst I made up my own lyrics to it.

Sometime towards the late 1980s I was in a children's home. They called it an assessment centre and it was quite a notorious place.

One Saturday night a riot broke out. 15 of us got arrested, charged and taken to court.

This song (Had Enough by The Who) reminds me of that time...

The Strangeways (prison) riot was a momentous time in recent British history.

At the time I was half living at an address close by so I remember it well.

I was staying with a woman who already had four kids of her own but she still sorted me out with a bit of food, clean clothes, a bath and a occasionally a bed for the night.

You're So Vain by Carly Simon always reminds me of this woman because it was the first time I'd heard it and I fell in love.

I love Carly Simon.

This is another one that seems to be always playing in the back of my mind and sometimes it makes its way out of my mouth.

Einstein a Go Go by Lanscape

Every time I go the Albert Heijn supermarket, I get this uncontrollable urge to sing it out loud.
